What do you think the Black American Dream Is?

I'm doing this big project for my junior year called the iSearch. My question for all of you is what do you think the black american dream is? How to you compare it to the white american dream? Do you think that the white american dream is attainable for African Americans, why or why not? Please explain your answers as I will be putting the most logical in my essay.     I can tell you that everybody aspires for the same thing and that is to be happy and provide a better life for their family.

    I would think that a dream is different and applies to the individual and not necessarily their race. I understand that people have to overcome hardships and unfair things may happen to them but at the end of the day I think for the most part we all strive for the same things.

    Yeah, I think everybody got similar dreams. To have a good career, good children, fairness, money, etc. The problem I think is that commonly, African Americans feel that racism will hold them down, which I think is the biggest misconception ever. Now, commonly, black kids want to be atheletes or rappers, and they will try their best in it, when they have a good and real chance of graduating college and getting a good job.
