My period is late, what could it be?





I last had my period either between 30-31st october- 1st november, i cant remember the exact date that i got it. usually my period comes every 25-29 days. all week ive been having period symptoms, headaches, flactuations in weight and mood swings, but i still havent got it. i havent lost any weight these past 2 weeks despite eating healthy and doing exercise and i gained 3pounds, but now i've lost the 3 pounds and before my period i always go up a few pounds, not loose. last month i had sex, but i was safe and the guy used a condom. i asked the guy to check if we were safe the next day to get that reassurance and he said we were and not to worry. i know its still early, but i havent had any pregnancy symptoms. i ve been under a lot of stress lately with worries as to why im not losing weight and family issues and essays due in. plus now in worrying that im not getting my period; its between 28-30 days late. i read that stress can cause a delay in periods and doing a lot of exercise. i go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week and i eat mega healthy and have lost 3 stone since july and am 11 stone (which is a healthy weight, not underweight or overweight for my height). i want to loose 2 more stone and i can be quite strict and eat between 1,050-1,450 calories. before i was still getting periods and everything so i dont know what's wrong.mature answers please and dont bother if you're simply just going to write "pregnant"

    This has happened to me a few times and i know how your feelingI find stress causes me a lot of problems even though its hard to beleive it can cause physical symptoms.In my opinion i dont think it is down to being pregnant – like you said you used protection but i know its the first thought when a period is missed or delayed.Try not to worry too much – im a worrier and i know the best thing for me is destracting myself.Hope all is ok
